Design Process
This was a project for my graphic design course. The assignment was to create an educational company on any topic of our choosing. The idea for Wood and Wire came from my interest in woodworking and metalworking. Finding a way to marry the two elements in a sophisticated way was challenging. I wanted my logo to be serious and elegant, so that it reflected a knowledge of the craft without coming across as a DIY crafting company. The intent of the company was to help beginners and intermediates in the fields of woodworking and metalworking learn the basic skills necessary and how to adapt them for their own use.
