Design Project
In Product Design 3 we spent the semester working with sheet metal to create consumer products. One of my product ideas was to create a unique and personalized bike rack. I feel that the other bike racks on the market focus solely on strength and, while they do look nice, they lack character. I want to use a different material that would be easier to personalize. The goal of my independent project is to test to see if I can still maintain the structural stability necessary in a bike rack while adding unique spin on the design.
Design Competition
I entered my design in Lehigh University's Eureka competition in an attempt to get further funding for prototyping. My design won in its category and I was able to use the funding to create and test prototypes.
